  1.         Making The Grade Utility 1.00             DESCRIPTION AND FILE LIST

  5.     Making The Grade Utility  is  a teachers'  and programmers' command
  6.     line utility that performs  various functions on Making The Grade &
  7.         MTG Plus data files including:       
  8.  
  9.         1. Exports data from Making The Grade data files to comma delimited
  10.            format, .SDF (system data format suitable for importing into
  11.            dBase IV), or directly to dBase IV (.DBF) format.
  12.         2. Converts Making The Grade data files to MTG Plus format,and vice
  13.            versa (40 x 40 format <--> 90 x 90 format).
  14.         3. Creates `template' files from MTG & MTG Plus data files, with
  15.            only test names, descriptions, weights, max scores, etc.
  16.         4. Imports a student roster in text format and create an MTG or MTG
  17.            Plus data file (optionally include homeroom, ID number), or im-
  18.            ports a roster directly into a `template' file (see #3).
  19.         5. Exports a student roster in text format, creating a .ROS file in
  20.            System Data Format or comma-delimited (the reverse of #4).
  21.         6. From one or more MTG data files, generates a final report for
  22.            every student, containing grades from all classes. 
  23.     
  24.     Minimum requirements: DOS 3.0, 512K, hard drive, and printer.
